The day I started hip hop? I forget about when（我記不清楚從什麼時候開始喜歡hiphop）
Maybe in that boring afternoon class when I was copying Stan (可能是在那個無聊的下午，我在教室裡抄寫stan的歌詞的時候)
Time flies fast and its middle school graduation（時間過的很快，彷彿一會就從初中畢業了）
Then I went to states for a summer camp In 2011（畢業後我去美國參加了一個夏令營）
In the past, from the English class listening,（在以前的英語課上）
I heard about American dream and people are interesting （我聽到老師講美國夢以及有趣的人）
When I came, I barely understand what they talking（當我來到這裡，我發現我基本聽不懂他們在說什麼）
But I heard some guys laughing and call me a Ch**k（我只聽到譏笑和xx的稱呼）
Still, I'm exited to take a hip hop class (儘管如此，我依然很激動因為可以上一節有關說唱的課)
and people are shocked by the silent kid from ***** with the glass（這個班上的同學們全都被這個來自***戴眼鏡的男孩給秒殺了）
At the moment I felt like I was the chosen child（在那一刻，我感覺我是天選之子）
While the truth turns out that it's just been sad moment like 8 mile（沒想到在最後演出上，發生了和電影八英里中一樣的劇情）
Feeling nervous, I forget the lyrics on the show（我太緊張，導致在台上忘詞了）
The choke became a joke and only guys in that class knows I 'm ****（這讓我成為了一個笑話，只有那個班裡的人才知道我的真實水平）
That's all the story that I could remember and tell（這是我對那段時間的記憶）
Some guys hugged me, some said good job with a fake smile（有的人在演出後擁抱了我，還有的用虛偽的笑容對我說做得好）

After that summer I went to high school (過了那個夏天后，我去了高中)
Everything start looking cool not only the better food（一切都變得更好了，不只是食堂的食物）
Some girls tried to make up and looks like a Web star (有些女生開始化妝了，像網紅方向靠近）
Some boys like me are spending a lot of time in Net bar（有的男生和我一樣，把大把的時間泡在網吧裡）
Every time I take a trip tothe summoners rift（在召喚師峽谷的時候）
My Jax killed all enemies and get an easy penta (我拿個賈克斯吊打對面，輕鬆拿五殺）
But when it comes to real life , on my transcript（而在現實生活中，我的成績單上）
The wrong surpasses the right and shows me a terrible number（錯的比對的多，成績慘不忍睹）
There is a well known organization called Taurus（當時有個知名中介叫拓思教育）
Students here are all elites except me, a Tourist （裡面的人大都優秀，除了我，像一個過客）
My low sat score makes me feel like I'm in a jail（我還在為考SAT發愁，感覺想活在一個監獄）
When students next to me are talking about Harvard or Yale（而旁邊的學生在討論著要申請哈佛還是耶魯）
When Brian ask what you think makes your special? (我的顧問Brian問我，你覺得你有什麼特別的地方）
I hate to fake the truth but that was somehow inevitable（我實在不想虛構，但實在沒有什麼可以說的所以只能編了）
I said I perform rap a lot in my personal statement（我在我的PS裡說我喜歡表演說唱，有豐富的經驗）
Which is just a scenario appear in my imagination（其實這些情景都是我yy的）
Verse3:
Years later, I went to college in Upstate NY（又過了幾年，我去了紐約上州念大學）
My English gets a little better and it feels like a different new world（現在英語稍微好些了，感覺像來到了一個不一樣的**）
There are times I didn't sleeps until I see the sun light（有的時候我直到看到太陽才睡覺）
There are times I were drunk and had a stupid fun night （還有的時候我們喝著酒傻開心）
Sometimes, life is still a little boring（有時候還是感覺生活很無聊）
especially in a class that don't allow you to staring at the phone screen（尤其是在上那種不讓你看手機的課的時候）
After class when I don't know where I should go to（當我不知道下課後要去哪裡的時候）
I'll probably go for a McDonald's drive thru（我就回去麥當勞的drive thru買點東西）
I heard people say writing code everyday is the only way that you can stay and pay in the states (我聽人說在這里天天寫碼才得以生存）
While different races are said to be treated equally in this place（在這個聲稱XX平等的地方）
People are still hunting for a cheating key to open the gate（人們依然拼命的想找到那個打開門的鑰匙）
Now I'm going to graduate but not ready and hesitate（現在我畢業了但對未來依然迷茫）
And I need a light to navigate to a place that I could destinate（我還在尋找到那個指引我的明燈）
So I'm going to record my thoughts in the rap today (所以我把這些個人陳述放在這個錄音裡）
Maybe those words would appear in my future resume（或許以後這可以成為我簡歷中的一部分）
